Sudpsuez Small Kuznetsov Plates (set of 6)
$196.00
Description
A set of six highly decorative and beautiful Kuznetsov plates. The Kuznetsov factory, located in Volkhov, Russia, was established in 1889 and was one of several owned by the Kuznetsov family. The factory specialized in producing faience, primarily for the Ottoman and Central Asian markets, where there was significant demand. Their designs, often floral and ikat-inspired, were created to appeal to these regions. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, these plates, along with textiles and other works, began entering Western markets. The plates are notable for their use of stenciling and spray painting techniques. Today, they have gained popularity as decorative wall pieces in many interiors.
