Handwoven in Tuchin, in the northern coast of Columbia, our double Cañaflecha Pouf is designed by Magnetic Midnight for Cabana. Varying grades of tan and browns in hand-dyed Cañaflecha, a reed traditionally used to make the emblematic ‘vueltiao’ hat, create a striking piece. Each fibre is braided into strips that are sewn together like a patchwork, typical of the heritage craft that dates back to Colombia’s Zenu culture when the designs on each braid were used to denote a clan within the community. Reinvented in this modern design, the pouf is a testament to the marriage of tradition and innovation that defines Cabana.
